Jehu A. Wright

The Wright, Askie and Thorpe families sadly announce the death of our husband, father, brother, nephew, grandfather, great- grandfather, uncle, cousin, relative and friend,  Jehu A. Wright was born unto the union of Clement A. Wright and Jerusha Askie-Moore on April 30, 1932 in the city of Arthington, Montserrado County, Liberia. Jehu passed away on May 1, 2020 at the Staten Island University Hospital at 4:20 p.m. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Nancy Martha Bright-Wright, his children: Aurelia Thorpe-Tamba, Arto Shinn,  Williette Greene-Cooke, Nathaniel Thorpe, Una Wright, Marion Wright-Greenfield, Carl J. Wright, Ramsey Wright, Bill Wright, Edna Wright, Diamond Wright, Jerusha Wright. He is also survived by his sibblings: Col. M. Clement Wright, Louise Browne-Reeves, Elfreda Wright-Barclay, Aretha Wright-Collins. He's survived by his grand and great-grand Children, his maternal aunt, Ms. Rachel Askie, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends in the U.S. and Liberia.
