Mrs.
Matilda Amelia Jackson Woodson
The
Woodson, Jackson, Howard and Dennis Families
along with former students of Nyehn Public School
#2, announce with thanksgiving, the home going
of Mrs. Matilda Amelia Jackson Woodson. She
was 90 years old. Mama, Grandma, Ma, Aunt Tally,
Ma Woodson, Mother Woodson, as she was affectionately
called, transitioned to be with her Lord on
Saturday, January 16th (her late husband's birthday),
2010 at the home of her granddaughter, Matilda
Patience Howard-Crayton in Paynesville, Liberia.
Mrs.
Woodson was a renowned Educator and Child Care
Provider. She co-founded Nyehn Public School
# 2, in Todee, Montserrado County, Liberia,
with her late husband, George William Dikena
Woodson. This facility provided Day and Boarding
school to many residents, foster and orphan
children in Liberia. This facility operated
for over 30 years, until early 1994 when she
fled Liberia during the Civil war and sought
refuge in the United States of America with
her daughter, Georgia Woodson Martu.

celebrate her legacy and home going, her Children,
Grand Children, Great Grand Children, Nieces,
Nephews, Relatives and former Students request
