Samuel Gaye Wonokay

The Wonokay, Wehye, and the entire Wee families announce the home going of our beloved Father, Uncle, Brother, Grand father, and grand uncle Samuel Gaye Wonokay. This sad event occurred on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 3:57 PM at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He has fought a good fight, and is now laid to rest. Samuel (Sammy) is survived by his children, Sei Daa Wonokay and Pauline Cook Wonokay and his brothers Peter N. Wonokay, S.Daa Wonokay Sr, and Dee Akala Wonokay. His sisters Naa, Doris and Hannah Wonokay. His nephews Torbor Tee Wonokay, Torwon Daa Wonokay, Steve Daa Wonokay Jr, Dominic Zongea Wonokay, Karnue Daa Wonokay, Birch Wonokay, Sei Monibah Wonokay Sr, Nya Wonokay, Rudolph Wonokay Monibah, Doleseh Wonokay,Lester Wonokay, Bel Wonokay Sahn, Walter Wonokay. Nieces: Kosen Wonokay, Naa Decontee Wonokay, Miniseah Wonokay, Kou Michell Wonokay, Menleh Kou Wonokay(predeceased) Leslie Dee-dee Wonokay, Zotar Gonlue Wonokay, Hawah Wonokay Sawyerr, Zoda Bleh Wonokay Cornelia Finda Wonokay Koze Wonokay, Kalesha Baby D Wonokay. Darbah Tarpeh. Grand Nephews: Jeremiah Daa Wonokay, Kelvin Daa Wonokay, Trevon Wonokay,Saye Monibah Wonokay Jr, Telvin WonokY. Grand Nieces: Bianca Wonokay Cooper, Bria Wonokay Cooper, Reshida Wonokay, Robel Wonokay Deja Wonokay, Kou Brianna Wonokay, Menleh Star Wonokay, Melisa Wonokay and Lisa Wonokay.Grand daughters: Karyee and Bersheba Wonokay. Sister in-laws: Kouce Wonokay, Yah Boayou Wonokay, and a host of other relatives in Liberia, Ivory Coast and the United State of America. Samuel Wonokay was born unto the union of Yah Paye and Quoi Wonokay (predeceased) of Mehnpa Town, Saclepea Mah Chiefdon, Nimba County.

He was a 17 years Veteran of the Liberian National Police Force.
