Mrs. Maria P. Wilson

It is with profound sadness that the Wilson and Swengbe families announce the death of our mother, Mrs. Maria P. Wilson on Tuesday, February 7, 2017at 7:15pm, after a period of illness. Mrs. Wilson served as an ordained Elder and International Representative of the Victory Chapel, in Paynesville, Liberia and was a Retired Lieutenant in the Liberia National Police. She moved to the US in 1994 and later returned to Liberia in 2006.
She leaves to mourn her loss, six biological children: Amos Wilson, Hilda Mary, Paul, Mike, Vera and Janette; six step children: David Jr., Comfort, Rhoda, Isaac, Beatrice and Victor; forty two grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two sisters: Edith Wilson and Francis Nimely; one brother: David B. Wilson; several nieces and nephews: as well as, grand nephews and nieces, cousins, godchildren, and a host of other relatives, good friends, colleagues, and faithful church members in Liberia and the United States.

Wake-keeping on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 7 PM at the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, in Charlotte, NC
Funeral Services on Saturday, March, 25, 2017 at 11AM at the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, Charlotte, NC
Memorial Services will be held in the Monrovia, Liberia simultaneously at the Victory Chapel, in Paynesville, followed by refreshment at Mother Wilson’s home on Du Port Road, Paynesville.
