Mrs. Queenette Sundayway Moore-Willie

It is with great sadness that the Moore, Bettie and Willie families announce the going home celebration of Mrs. Queenette Sundayway Moore-Willie.

Queenette earthly journey ended on Thursday November 6, 2014. She was the daughter of the late reverend, Attorney, A. Cadmus Moore, Sr. of Owensgrove, Grand Bassa County and the late Mrs. Saweh Bettie. She was married to the late Eli Willie who predeceased her in 2012. Queenette was the sister of the Honorable Theophilius Totee Bettie (deceased), John Bettie (deceased). She was 60 years old.

Queenette was an employee of the Liberia Revenue Authority - Ministry of Finance & Development Planning assigned to the Department of Customs as Deputy Collector.

Queenette leaves to mourn a host of relatives and friends in Liberia and the United States. She is survived by her daughter, Miatta Karmoh, grandson A. Cadmus Moore (Totee), five foster children, Viola, Saymue, Albertine, Sandra, and Eli; her step-mother, Mrs. Lucretia Gray-Moore; eight (8) brothers - Mr. Vivion A. Moore (Cora); Mack Bettie (Margaret), A. Cadmus Moore, Jr. (Helen); Larry E. Moore (Shernett); Owen Spencer Moore, Sr.; and Rev. Hezekiah Franklin (Tryphena); Eleven (11) sisters: Cecelia B. Harris; Catherine R. Harris; Joyce A. Moore-Liberty, (Samuel); Rebecca Sirleaf (Sekou) Evelyn Bettie; Arisa Moore-Gant (Bill); Arlene Moore-Dagadu; Cynthia W. Moore; Katie Moore-Coleman (Frank); Temora Moore-Gray (Victor); and Alvina Moore-Clifton (Jim).. Sister-in-law Enid Darby Bettie (Theophilus-deceased); one aunty Martha Richards, two uncles, Joseph Richards and James Willi Page, Sr. several nieces and nephews, the George and Konta Families.

Her body will be removed from the Samuel Stryker Funeral Home on Saturday, November 22 at 9am, and taken to St. Simon Baptist Church located on Horton Avenue, for one hour of wake keeping. Funeral rites over her remains will begin at 10:30 am. Thereafter, the body will be taken to the Kaiser Memorial Lawn for interment.
