Tryphena Farngalo Taylor Williams
The Farngalo, Taylor, Williams, Dunbar and Mason families announce with mournful hearts the death of our beloved mother, sister, aunt and cousin, Deaconess Tryphena Taylor Williams, who passed away on Saturday, 17th March, 2018 at the Staten Island University Hospital, in Staten Island, New York.
Ms. Tryphena, as she was commonly referred to, will be remembered by many Liberians who were avid patrons of her famous “GB” restaurant in Bassa Community during the late 70s to early 80s. Her Staten Island Community will be forever grateful to her for the care she gave to many of their children in her capacity as babysitter and for her commitment and faithfulness to the Trinity Baptist Church and the community at large.
Left to mourn this irreplaceable loss, are: her children, Theresa Sameh Collins, Linda Pyne, Ronald Togba Porte, Emmanuel Ojuku Taylor, Cleopatra Taylor, Sirena Taylor, Susana Taylor King, Eric Taylor, Edward Forh, Linda Morris, several grand and great grand children, her many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the close bonds formed during her years on Staten Island, in particular, Josephine Gibson Tucker, Annie Gibson, Francis Gibson and Leona Flower Allen.
