MARITINA VOKER WEI
The Voker, Wei, Zackpah and Greaves families with ICF Ministries are sad to announce the home going of their Mother, aunty, cousin and church member Martina Voker Wei. She was called from labor to rest on December 7, 2020 at the home of her daughter Edwina Z. Turner in Hampton, Georgia. She was born to Saye Lankah and Kou Dekolo Voker on November 17, 1945 in Gbeyee Tengbein, Nimbi County, then the Northern Province of Liberia, West Africa. Her mother gave her to her uncle, the late Samuel T. Voker, Sr., to be reared. She attended elementary school in Sanniquellie and later enrolled at Miss Moore Mission (Ellen Hopkins Maternal Center) in Kakata, Liberia where she graduated as a nurse-midwife. She was married to William L. Wei who predeceased her in September 2001 in Liberia.
Martina leaves to cherish her precious memories her children: Martha Kou Kpahn (Wilfred); Emanuel Zackpah; Edwina Zackpah Turner (Ernest); Peterson Saye Wei*; Yah Mammie Wei*; Tonzia P. Wei (Henrietta); Willette Pinky Wei Monger (Henry); Morris G. Wei, and Wilmot Beco Wei. Siblings: Clarence Voker*, Robert Saye*, Augustus Wehyee*, Victoria Saye Krah, Bumpay Saye, Othello Y. Saye, and many surviving cousins from the Voker, Saye, Gbeintor, Gonqueh, and Wehyee families: twenty grandchildren; many relatives and close friends in Liberia, and the United States of America. May her soul rest in peace in the bosom of Jesus Christ.
