Ms. Ruth Yvonne Evelina Kingg Weh

The Pinkett, Kingg, Ghoah, Weh, Traore, Bruce and Azango, families announce with deepest sorrow the death of our Educator, Mother, Daughter, Aunt, Sister and Cousin, Ms. Ruth Yvonne Evelina Kingg Weh (formerly Traore). After a long and brave fight with cancer, she departed this life on, May 22nd in the suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. She was President of the Liberian Association of Maryland and was actively involved in the Liberian Diaspora activities. Her family, the Johns Hopkins University family, Baltimore City Public School System, the Liberian Association of Maryland and the Liberian Diaspora community mourn her loss.

 Ruth “Yvonne” was born in Monrovia, Montserrado County, Liberia on June 23, 1955 to Jesse B Kingg- Ghoah and the late Irene Virginia Wade Pinkett “Aunty Irene”.  She was the only child between Jesse Kingg-Ghoah [Alice] and Irene Virginia Wade Pinkett.

She leaves to cherish her memories, {daughters} Djene Oria Traore, Aicha Joann Traore, Elizabeth Weh who resides in the United States as well as adopted children; Sarah Pinkett, Jessie Kingg and Cornelius Pinkett in Monrovia, Liberia, {grandson} Christopher Nash {Godson} Pastor Teddy Otobo-Sheriff {Stepmother} Rose MendsCole {Ruth’s Siblings} Maimah Kingg, Jesse B Kingg Jr, Edwin K Sherman, Robert Azango and Willette Azango {some of Ruth’s nieces and nephews} Vivian Bruce, Wynee Cummings Wilson, Albertyna Nimley Sanchez, Almena Otobo-Sheriff, Miatta Kingg, Raymond Bruce “Bobby”, Albert Nimley “Poppie” and 40 other nieces and nephews in varies parts of USA and Liberia. She also leaves her aunts Mrs. Elizabeth Yibade Pinkett Bruce {children} Maude Bruce Nimley, Simond Raymond Bruce Sr. [Lwopu], Amelia Bruce Nimley [Albert], Jackie A. Bruce [Klaneh], Othello M. Bruce [Hawah] and William Ford Bruce [Ora], Mr. Nathaniel “Pardu” Ford Bruce Jr, Grace Freeman [Eric] and Mrs. Rachel Geddeh Pinkett {children} Joanna, Horatio, Julius, Justine, Henry, Benjamin, Cornelius, Olivia Pinkett, Alfred Gadeh and a host of other relatives and friends in Europe, Africa- Liberia, Guinea and Ghana and other parts of the World. 

God didn’t say that our tomorrows will be easy but offers you Heaven for eternity. We will miss our Ruth Yvonne dearly and know we will see her soon on that Glorious day. Our beloved Ruth, we feel your strength! With her last breath, she gave us HOPE and we honor her, as she continues her position as the Family’s Matriarch

May her soul rest in heavenly peace and may light perpetual shine upon her.
