The Waljroh, Gaye and Torbor Families regret to announce the death of our beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and grandfather, Mr. Ajaynue Lawrence Waljroh affectionately called AJ. This sad event occurred on November 20, 2019 at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
AJ was a dedicated husband, father, catholic and financial specialist. He served as Senior Accountant with LAMCO Joint Venture Operating Company and subsequently became Chief Accountant. AJ also served as Chief Accountant at the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation.
AJ was a staunch defender of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Ancient and Noble Order of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI). He served as Worthy President of St. Paul Commandery # 404 in Yekepa, Nimba County. Sir Knight Ajaynue Lawrence Waljroh transferred to St. Joseph’s Commandery #442, Ancient and Noble Order of the Knights of St. John International in Monrovia and served as Grand Treasurer of the Liberia Grand Commandery and Trustee of St. Joseph’s Commandery 442, Our Lady of Lebanon, Capitol Hill, Monrovia.
AJ is survived by his dear wife of 40 years, Mrs. Comfort G Waljroh, four children Emmatine Waljroh-Ukwuoma, Laurena Arway Waljroh-Sackie, Lauren Weewee Waljroh and Emmanuel Waljroh, four grandchildren Naya Waljroh, Cydney Ukwuoma, Ogechi Ukwuoma and Cruz Waljroh, two brothers Francis Torbor and Nimley Waljroh, two sisters Foh-gbay and Gmasonnoh, several nephews and nieces including Jenkins Vangehn, Darlington Vangehn, Othello Vangehn, Francis Waljroh, Mamie Waljroh-Fallah, Amanda Waljroh, Antoinette Waljroh, Mariah Kolubah, Comfort Mohn and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Arrangements are as follows:
Wake Keeping will be held on Friday Dec. 13, 2019 6pm – 10pm, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Ave N, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429
Funeral service will be held on Dec. 14 at 9am – 11:30am, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Ave N Brooklyn Center, MN 55429
Interment follows immediately after the funeral service at Gethsemene Cemetery, 8151 42nd Ave N, New Hope, MN 55427
