The Troko, Major, Mayu & Bleah families announce with profound regrets the death, in his 66th year, of their husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin, Dr. David Memba Troko. This sad event occurred at the Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, United Kingdom on Wednesday 20th February 2013 at 4:30am, following a brief illness.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Dr. Velma Major-Troko, his children – Mrs. Grace Schilder, Mr. Aab Troko, Dr. Joy Troko, Miss Gayle Troko and foster son, Mr Emmanuel Troko; siblings – Mr. Samuel Troko, Mr. James Troko, Mrs. Martha Lawrence and Mrs. Dorcas Zinnah and several nieces, nephews, cousins including the Mayus & Bleahs, and hosts of relatives and friends.

The Tribute / Wake keeping and the Memorial / Thanksgiving Services will be held in the United Kingdom before taking the body to Liberia where the funeral will take place.

The family has asked that instead of giving flowers, please can donations be made to the charities that David supported:
