With heavy hearts, we announce the home going of Mr. Lawrence Mleh Toomey Jr. This sudden death occurred on Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 12:12am at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville GA. Lawrence was an awesome son, loving husband, great and loving father and a good friend.
Lawrence leaves us to mourn and cherish his memory. His wife Samantha Penny Toomey, five children: Lawresa Cono Toomey, Lawreen Push Toomey, Lawranz Star Toomey, Lawrence Monie Toomey III and Hillary Martina Toomey. His mother Adeline Wilson-Hedd-Williams, sisters Addy Mensah, Cynthia Wilson, Maude Jones, Annie Mensah, Julia Weefer Doe, Lucia Hinneh, Ora Jones Weedee, his brothers Joseph Toomey, Rick Mensah, cousins, nieces, nephews and his in-laws the Tulays and Adzanus.
He also leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his friend and brother Joe Boima Barclay Jr and Prince Mensah; his good friend and sister Ora Scott; and his B.W.Harris Class of 82 family. His Old Timers’ family, his Lawrenceville GA family, his St. Edward’s Episcopal church family, his Staten Island family and his family in Liberia. With his uplifting spirit and loving personality, he touched the lives of so many. He will be greatly missed by all.
May the light of God continue to shine upon Lawrence. We pray for God’s comfort and strength as we mourn.

The wake is scheduled for Friday October 5, 2018 at 8pm. Funeral service is scheduled for October 6, 2018 at 12noon.
