George W. Thompson

The Thompson, Gartor, Barchue, family announce with sorrow the home going of their father, brother, uncle, cousin, George W. Thompson. This sad event occurred on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the JFK Memorial hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.

He is survived by his children, Weda Lucinda Thompson, Georgia D. Thompson-Bates (Edward), Gregory Thompson and Abraham Thompson, Grandchildren: Carmen B. Greaves, Juah Z. Johnson, Malcolm F. Johnson, Fred K. Yarweh Jr., Wede L.Yarweh, Yassah K. Ballayan, Edward Trokon Bates. Greatgrand children:   Eddie L. Tarr, Devine Dormah, Phillip Green and one greatgreat grand daughter, Samirah E, Yarweh. He also leaves to mourn four sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and many relatives and cherished family friends in Liberia and abroad.

Viewing: will be held at the Sam A. Stryker Funeral Home at 9:00 am, Saturday January 21, 2017.

Funeral service:  will take place at the Tubman United Methodist Church located in Paynesville Liberia.

INTERMENT:
Immediately following the service
At the Gbangbar Town Cemetery.
