The Taylor, Bracewell, Ammons, Gilman, Brewer and Neal families regret to announce the home-going of Mr. Emmett Alston Taylor, Associate Professor of the Engineering College of the University of Liberia and former Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Liberia. This sad event occurred on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 1:30 PM at his residence in Philadelphia, PA. Predeceased by his father; Mr. Beuford J. Taylor, mother; Mrs. Elnora Ammons Taylor and elder sibling, Mr. Herbert Goodling (Ayo).

Emmett leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of 36 years, Josephine Gilman-Taylor, children: Lorenzo (Etta), Antonio, Duwli, Konah, Shyvonne, Tesa, Emmett Jr., Ramona, Gwen, Edwina, Varney and Cedric; siblings: Rev. Lillian Taylor, Urias Taylor (Augusta), Mr. Beuford J. Taylor(II), Dorothy Taylor-Harvey, Frances A. Taylor (Charlotte), Rev./Dr. Jonathan C. Taylor (Annette), Byron G. Taylor, Mrs. Marie Taylor Flinflin (Winston) and Mrs. Eunice Taylor-Kulah (Oliver), uncle: Mr. Jensen Taylor; aunt: Amina Ammons, a host of cousins including former President Charles Ghankay Taylor, many loving grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends in the United States and Liberia.
