It
is with profound sadness that the Tay and Smith
families announce the peaceful home-going of
Leona Gertrude Tay on Wednesday, March 3rd,
2010 at her home in Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia.
She was 83 years old. Leona G. Tay is survived
by her loving son and daughter: Eric B. Cooper
and Sophie A. Cole-Konuwa; brother: James Tay;
grandchildren: Jessica Cooper, Alfred B. Konuwa
III, Anani B. Konuwa, Jonathan Cooper and Leona
Cooper; many foster children, and a host of
other relatives and friends. We all will miss
her dearly!
Funeral
Announcement:
Celebration of life for Leona G. Tay will be
held on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at 11:00am
at Providence Baptist Church on the Corners
of Broad, Center and Ashmun Streets, followed
by interment at the family plot in Shufflein,
Margibi County.
