 Augusta Clarissa Reeves Snyder
July 27, 1927 – August, 8 2018 (aged 91)
The family members of Mrs. Augusta Clarissa Reeves-Snyder regret to announce the death of their mother, grandmother, great-grand grandmother, aunt and cousin, lovingly called Mommie Doll. She was one of thirteen children born unto the union of William H. and Clarissa V. Reeves in Fortsville (Liberia). Her parents and siblings predeceased her; so did her husband — Col. Christian A. Snyder, Sr — and her darling niece Juanita Summerville-Kemoh. Shortly after celebrating her 91st birthday on July 27 2018 among her children, she passed away quietly August 8 in Jonesboro (GA) surrounded by loved ones.
Survived by: Children: Elaine (Augustus), Wilhelmina, Christian (Mary), Clarissa, Barbara, Diana, Henrietta, Earl (Tonya), Christine (Varnie), Nancy (Gabriel), Elizabeth (Patrick). Grandchildren: Chris, Augustus, Clarence W., Elaine, Anthony, Barbara, James, Jeremy, Alex, Antoinette, Gail, Faith, Cecily, Courtney, Celaine, Gregory, Wilhelmina, Hawa, Augusta Kollie, Eugene, Clement, Joshua Augusta Chieh Rodriguez, Patricia, Dekontee, Yasele, Timbet, Cyannah, Earl Jr., Chris, Ziki, Cassandra, Michelle, Angel, Natasha, Michael, Gabriel Jr., Joy, Gabriella, Jamel, Alton, Miracle.
In addition, she had 37 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and 2 grand-nieces. Nephews & nieces: Henry Clay Reeves; Gustav Barnard; Clarissa Reeves; Laban Reeves; Nehemiah Reeves, Alcmenia Summerville-Dunbar; Emerson Reeves, Chalnecia Summerville-Tweh; Thelma Reeves-George; Melvin Summerville, John Summerville, Wilson Reeves; Therenna Stryker (Moses), and H. C. Reeves of Fortsville, Fermon G. Reeves. Cousins: Aurelia L. Junius-Rainsbery; Catherine Junius-Mucolor; Elizabeth Reeves-Greene; Josephus Barnard; Lucretia Reeves-Baker; Rhodel Reeves-Jones; Clarence Barnard; Luvenia Barnard; Quentin Hodges; and Cleophas Hodges. Sister in law: Adelaide Fiske, as well as a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia and the USA.
