There is a time for everything and a season for every purpose under the heavens. The season has come for Anna Toto Davis Sumo to meet her Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

The Davis, Sumo, Bornor, and Gbye Families regret to announce the sudden death of Anna Davis Sumo in her 80th year. Her untimely death occurred on November 29, 2014 at the Yale University Hospital, New Haven CT at the hour of 1:09am.

“Toto, Grandma, mama, mother and Aunty Anna” as she was affectionately called, will be greatly missed by her children: Ethel Merchant, Francis Sumo (deceased) Ruthie Sumo Cole, George Sumo, Henry Sumo, Alice Sumo Kenneth, Rebecca S Sumo and Mulbah Sumo; 25 grandchildren, 15 great-grand children, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in the US, and Liberia. Toto was preceded in death by her husband Colonel Joseph A Sumo.
