Lucy Balleh Sonpon

Proverb 3 v5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take”.

It is with great sadness that the Sonpon, Botoe and Sleyon families announce the loss of our dearest mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother, and great grandmother Lucy Balleh Sonpon. This sad event occurred on Monday, December 07, 2015 at her Newport Street home in Liberia.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her children; Elizabeth Wanneh Botoe, Anna Boyono Botoe, Marie Botoe-Johnson, Philip Sarteh Sleyon (Vera), Tanneh Sleyon-Fayiah (Prince), Patricia Sleyon, Agatha Sleyon Bailey (Saa) and Juah Sleyon; 23 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren, along with her devoted nieces and nephews; Margaret Grey Kummeh,  Benedict Nimely Sonpon, Theresa Sonpon, and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
The remains of Lucy Balleh Sonpon, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, will be removed from the A.B. Anderson funeral home on January 2, 2016 at 5:00pm and taken to the Secret Heart Cathedral on Broad Street, Monrovia, Liberia for the wake keeping. Viewing of the body and tributes will be done during the wake keeping.
