William
Humphrey Smith
The
Smith and Hage families announce with profound
regrets the death of Mr. William Humphrey Smith,
affectionately called "Bouku". This
sad event occurred on Saturday, March 6, 2010,
at the Crozer Medical Center in Chester, Pennsylvania,
United States of America, after a protracted
period of illness.
Mr.
Smith was a beloved husband, father, brother,
uncle, cousin, and friend. He leaves to mourn
his demise, his wife Edith Hage-Smith; his children:
Hankie Smith, Willie H. Smith II (Gwendolyn),
William H. Smith Jr., Marjae Smith, Wilbur Smith,
Love Doe, Watchen Smith, Nohad Mensah (Brobby),
Elaine Smith, Prince Smith, and Kuku Smith.
He is also survived by one step mother, Tete
Smith; three sisters, Elaine Freeman (Richard),
Hannah Abraham (Sal), and Zylon Smith; two brothers,
Alexander Wollor (Edith), and Dunn Smith; two
cousins, Buddie Smith and Moses Smith; ten grandchildren;
four sisters-in-law, and a host of relatives
and friends in Liberia and the United States
of America.
Mr.
Smith was a member of St. Augustine Episcopal
Mission Church in Kakata,Liberia, and also a
member of the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons,
Mt. Moriah Lodge #13.
Funeral
Arrangements:
On
Friday, March 19, 2010, wake keeping will be
held from 6:00 P.M. until 11:00 P.M. at the
Congo Funeral Home, 2317 N. Market Street, Wilmington,
Delaware 19802.
On
Saturday, March 20, 2010, viewing and tributes
will be held at the Congo Funeral Home, 2317
N. Market Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19802,
from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Telephone: 1-302-652-8887,
followed by memorial services at 11:00 A.M.
