 Roderick G. Smith (Oso)
March 6, 1954 - October 14, 2019
It is with great sadness that the love ones of Roderick G. Smith (Oso) announce his death, which occurred on Monday, October 14, 2019 at his home in Fiamah, Monrovia, Liberia after a period of illness.
Oso, as he was fondly called, was truly loved and admired by many! He leaves to mourn his loss, his brothers J. Terence Smith, Ernest Bruce, William T. Bruce, Jr. (Watchen), Moses Bruce (Ola); his sisters Willa T. Bruce-Gooding (Julius), Musu Bruce; his niece Delores (Bumpty) Maxwell; his uncle Dr. Melvin Mason (Marie); his aunt Mrs. Opral Mason Benson; and a host of relatives and friends near and far.
Oso was pre-deceased by his mother Mrs. Myrtle E. Mason Smith Bruce; fathers Mr. John T. Smith & William T. Bruce, Sr.; his aunts Mrs. Lilly-Mae Mason Dunn and Mrs. Agnes T. Mason Hoff; and uncle Rev. J. Benedict Mason.
Oso will be buried in a private ceremony.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on His Birthday, March 6, 2020.
