Patrick Sebastian Smith. Sr.

The Smith, Gee, Avery, Kunter, and Williams families regret to announce the death of their husband, father, brother, grandfather and cousin, Patrick Sebastian Smith, Sr., Former Deputy Director of  SEFO,  Former Assistant Minister  of Commerce,  and Former Executive Director, of  the National Investment Commission and Instructor of Econometrics at the University of Liberia respectively,  who passed away after a protracted illness on the morning of July 1, 2014 at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia at the age of 76.  Both of his parents, James T. Smith and Esther G. Avery predeceased him.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Apostle Fatu Kunter-Smith.  This union was blessed with two children, Patrick Smith and Patry Smith.  In his first marriage to Min. Victoria T. Williams, both were blessed with two boys, Patrick Sebastian Smith Jr., and Henry V. Smith. Patrick was also blessed in his previous and other relationships with several children including, Minister Beatrice Smith-Mlendough (Robert), James T Smith (Justina), Patricia Smith-Wulukai, Melvin Smith Sr. (Sia), Isaac Smith, Patrice Yata Smith, Patrica Smith-Small Bea, Emmanuel Smith, Alvin Smith, Veronica Smith, Patsy Smith.  Tye Smith and Regina Smith predeceased him.  Others are, Michael Kamokai, Margie Karmo, Sumo Bono, and Abu Kemokai (predeceased), as well as several grand and great grandchildren.

Also mourning his loss are his stepmother, Walto Smith-Gee and his siblings, including:  General Edward W. Smith, Sr. (Martha), Taylor T. Smith, Sr. (Annie), E. Roy Smith, Sr., Esq. (Bea), Edith Smith, Dorothy Smith-Tinisio, Yvonne Smith-Taylor (Patrick), James Boy Smith (Helena), Ruth Gee-Kear (Dr. Kear), Elizabeth Avery, Mettie Avery-Morris (James), Victoria Smith-Walker (predeceased), Annie Avery (predeceased), and Joseph Avery, Sr. (predeceased), as well as a host of other relatives including cousins, nephews, nieces and friends in the United States of America, Liberia, Ghana,  and other parts of the World.
