It is with profound regrets that the Smith, Minor, and Brownell families announce the sudden death of Ms. Laurine Wede Smith. This sad event took place on Sunday, July 23rd, 2017 at home in Maplewood, NJ.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Krystle Smith-Cooper. Her brother, John A. Smith. Her sisters, Clementine Wede Smith, Sarah Marpee Swen, Sophia Smith- Freeman, Anna L. Smith-Fendor (Pei), Grace Smith- Marshall (Bill), Dolly C. Smith, Christine Kadeh- Smith, her close friend and sisters Yvonne Ellis-Ricks, and Avril Caesar ; A host of other nieces, nephews, cousins,  any many others  in the United States, Liberia, Nigeria, and other parts of the world.

Funeral Arrangements

Wake keeping will take place on Friday, August 11th, 2017 at the Cotton Funeral Parlor- 130 Main Street, -Orange, NJ 07050 from 7-9pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12th, from 9 -12 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 66 South Grove Street in East Orange, NJ 07018.
