McDonald Sacko was called home by our Almighty
God on September 17, 2011. He passed away at
the St. Michael's Hospital in Newark, New Jersey,
USA.
George was a national soccer icon having played
in the 1950s and 1960s for the national soccer
team of Liberia, the "Lone Star",
Invincible Eleven (IE), and Mighty Barrolle
("Rollers"). He was a star athlete
and good citizen.
George
is survived by his sons, Abdul-Latif Sacko and
George M. Sacko, Jr.; daughter , Sophia Sacko
Moore; brother, Garretson "Bulldozer"
Sacko; niece, Danielle Sacko; and a host of
other relatives and close friends residing in
the United States of America, Liberia and other
parts of the world.
