Mr. Philip J. Sackey Jr.

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the Sackey and Smith families announce the passing of their beloved son, husband, brother, and father Mr. Philip J. Sackey Jr. (commonly known as “Philip P”, “Doc”, “Dr. J” and “Drup-stick”).  The untimely event occurred at his home in Bowie Maryland at 11:45 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2016.

He was predeceased by his grandmother: Mrs. Lopu “YeYe” Sackey; father: Mr. Philip J. Sackey Sr.; brother: Mr. Andrew JB Sackey; and sister: Ms. Priscilla P. Sackey

He leaves to mourn his death his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Johnetta Smith-Sackey; adored mother: Mrs. Elfreda C. Sackey; children: Ms. Elfreda Y. Hoff and Mr. Kevin J. Sackey; stepchildren: Ms. Shevondalyn  Robinson, Mr. Jonothel C. Robinson (Nicole), Mr. Lorenzo Robinson Jr. (Brenda), and Mr. Jacques Raphael Smith (Melanie); siblings: Ms. Winona L. Sackey, Ms. Philana A. Sackey, Ms. Doris E. Sackey, Mr. Julian L. Sackey, Ms. Precious M. Sackey, Ms. Julia M. Sackey and Ms. Julice P. Sackey; several grandchildren including among others: Mr. Joshua M. Hoff and Ms. Shawna Weston; and a host of nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
