 GESUE GEBRIER ROBERTS
It is with profound sadness, that the family announced the passing of Gesue Gebrier Roberts, a financial and a computer analyst and a life-long resident of Brooklyn-Coney Island, NY. He passed away from a brief illness on July 11, 2020.
G. Gebrier Roberts survived by his wife, Better Gbarwea Roberts; his three daughters,Gebrina Roberts, Teetee Roberts and Minico Roberts; his five grandkids, Jaron Jones, Jevon Jones, Caleb Brown, Xavier Millar and Zahra Millar.
Gesue Gebrier Roberts was born in Jue Town, Rivercess Territory, Grand Bassa County, Republic of Liberia in1943. He received his elementary and Junior high school education in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. In 1968, Gesue completed high school from the nation’s capital, Monrovia. Four years later, he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Liberia, in 1970. Early in his school days, he desired to live in the Western world, his wish came through when he was privileged to work with Swiss airline. Based on his honesty, dedication and a good working relations with Swiss airline, he was opportuned to immigrate to the United States in 1973. A very determined Gesue, earned an MBA from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1977.
Mr. Roberts worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, NA, for twenty years from 1977 as a financial analyst until he retired from Chase in 1997. A year later, he was hired by a publishing company in Manhattan. A job he held until 9/11; he was later hired by Coney Island hospital in 2004 as a financial analyst until his permanent retirement in 2014.
Mr. Roberts was a devoted husband, a father and a family man. He is a determined, policy oriented, focused and a learned man. He read daily, listened to cable news. A writer, he wrote several books; that includes his memoir with many series. As a computer programmer, he helped so many people: families, friends, organizations, etc.
Gesue was determined to help the needy and based on that, he helped create a nonprofit organization named Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas in 1975. He served in numerous capacities: he authored the first constitution of the organization, he served as a parliamentarian and an interim president of the organization.
G.G as he is famously referred to in the family, he has completed his journey on this earth. He will be greatly missed.
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE. HIS LEGACY WILL LINGER ON FOR DECADES TO COME.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:
On October 17, 2020, The Funeral Service and Viewing will be held at:
Abraham Funeral Home in Monrovia, Liberia.
INTERMENT:
The burial will take place right after the funeral service at the Kaiser Memorial Lawn
Cemetery in Brewerville-Monrovia, Liberia.
REPAST:
After the burial, friends and sympathizers are asked to join the bereaved family for the Repast, which will take place at Isaac Tugbeh Wreh Community-St. Paul Bridge Community, Island Clinic Junction; District #6 Bushrod Island, Monrovia, Liberia.
