The Weeks, Shannon, Rogers, and Reeves families announce with profound sadness the peaceful home-going of our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin Rebecca Joanna Weeks-Reeves. This sad event occurred on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her Kansas City, MO residence. R. Joanna Weeks Reeves was predeceased by her mother Eugenia Himie Shannon Weeks, and father J. Edmund Weeks, Sr.
Joanna was a member of Overland Park First Assembly of God church for 18+ years. She leaves to mourn her death her four children: Ansu J. Rogers, Jimah A. Rogers, Eugenia M. Rogers-Akati (Frejus), and Lischen P. Reeves Gibson (Leo); two grand-children: Emmanuel J. Rogers and Grace I. Akati and siblings, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mama, grandmie, Jo-Jo, Jo-le-Jo, and Joanna, as she was affectionately called, will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her sweet, loving, caring, and gentle spirit. Mama you are our angel, forever loved, never forgotten. May your soul rest in perfect peace.
