BAH PUTU
The
Putu Family announces with regrets the home
going of our beloved mother, Mrs. Fatu Bah Putu,
75, which sad event occurred Saturday, January
30, 2010 in Laurel, MD, USA. Mourning the loss
of "Ma Fatu" (as she was affectionately
called), are her children: Mrs. Suesie Sonpon-Reeves,
Ms. Sayonnoh Putu, Mrs. Theresa Putu-Deddeh,
Mr. Joseph S. Putu, and Mr. Matthew J. Putu.
Others are Ms. Beatrice Toe, Ms. Lucia Taplah,
Mr. Teddy Tokpah, Mr. Jefferson Dopoe, and Amelia
Tokpah. Her siblings, Ma Bendu Johnson, Ms.
Amelia Kamara and Mr. Molley Kamara. Her nieces,
Mrs. Bewu T. Gibson, Mrs. Katy Yhap, Ms. Venita
Thomas, Ms. Onike Thomas, Ms. Salina Toh, and
Ms. Samelia Mcfor-Wah. Her nephews, Mr. Abraham
Gerard, The Rev. James Thomas, Mr. Kenneth Harris,
Mr. Bentol Gibson, Mr. Daniel Johnson, Mr. Rodney
Johnson, Mr. William Johnson, Mr. Prince Thomas,
Mr. Geraldo Thomas, and Mr. Michelle Thomas.
Also mourning her demise is her daughter-in-law,
Mrs. Mabinu Gooding-Putu; and sons-in-laws,
Mr. Abraham Tubman, and The Rev. Suah S. Deddeh,
as well as 17 grand children, 1 great grand
and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral
Arrangements are as follows:
Funeral rites take place Friday, February 5,
2010, at 1:30pm, at the PGMA's Mosque, located
at 9150 Lanham Severn Road, Lanham, MD, 20706.
Interment follows thereafter at the Maryland
National Park Cemetery in Laurel, MD (Baltimore
Avenue/MD Route One).
In
keeping with Ma Fatu's religious practice, a
Seven-Day Feast would happen on Saturday, February
6, 2010, at 12noon; location to be announced
later.
