Ernest Saidu Pierre

It is with deep sadness the Pierre, Harris, Garnett  Vanpelt & Padmore families announce the passing of our loving brother and child of GOD, Ernest Saidu Pierre, born on September 4, 1954 in Firestone Duside Hospital.  He as a Father, Uncle, Cousin and Friend, made his Heavenly transition on Sunday, April 26, 2020 early morning in Liberia, West Africa.

He was predeceased by his parents, John A. Pierre and Bessie Nmatedi Harris-Pierre.  Saidu, as he was affectionately called attended William V.S. Tubman High School.  Later he worked for many years at Immigration in Liberia until the war in 1980.  In 1982 He migrated to USA for gainful employment and better opportunities.  Then he returned to Liberia in 2019 where he resided until death.

Saidu leaves to cherish his fond memories two handsome sons:  Elijah Jean Pierre and Alieu Sissie Pierre. Sisters and brothers Lydia Etmonia Garnett, George Mussah Pierre, Comfort Maneta Pierre, Alice Gibson-Jallah, Maude Padmore, Bessie Harris-Koryon ( Cyril) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His siblings who predeceased him are: Evelyn Fatu Pierre, John Alieu Pierre, Blyden Amadou Pierre, Sakou Sunny Boy Pierre, Othello Armou Pierre, Elijah Jeremiah Garnett, Mai Vanpelt-Grigsby, Mary Pierre-Jackson and Robert Pierre.


Due to CovId-19, a private funeral service will take place Saturday May 2, 2020 at Caphart Funeral Home.
