The Peabody, Marshall and Gibson families of
Marshall City regret to announce the passing
away of their husband, father, grandfather,
brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Stanton
Baiogah Peabody. This sad event occurred on
the morning of April 12, 2011 at the John F.
Kennedy Medical Center in Monrovia, Liberia
following a brief illness.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife: Mrs. Rebecca
Peabody; two daughters: Madia and Alvina; three
sons: Hugh Rally Boy (Vickie), Samuel Baiogah
and Stan Garsaydeh; grandchildren: Magnus, Maynard,
Malaika, Justine, Histy, Hugie and Holli: sisters;
Margaret, Watchen, Alice and Angela Peabody,
Mrs Agnes Thomas (Dyonah), Mrs. Merle Harmon
(Emmett), Mrs. Lorraine Mason (Fulkra), Mrs.
Gwendolyn Manjoe (Patrick); brothers: Mr. Albert
D. Peabody, Jr. (Lenora), Eric Peabody (Elaine),
Alvin Peabody (Kate), Ralph Peabody, James Peabody,
Calvin Peabody, Maxwell Peabody, Lyndon Peabody
(Bernadine); cousins: Mr. Elizabeth Haynes,
Dr. Rachel Paul, Dr. Christian Peabody (Mayatu),
Mr. Richard A. E. Bright (Laurinda), Mr. Eugene
Peabody (Comfort), Mr. J. Eustace Smith and
many other relatives.
Calendar of events for the funeral arrangements
is as follows:
Monday, April 25th, 2011, 11 a.m., opening of
the Book of Condolence, in the Stanton B. Peabody
Memorial Library, Daily Observer Building, 23
McDonald Street, Crown Hill, Monrovia. Book
of Condolence remains open until 5 p.m., Wednesday,
April 27, 2011.
Friday, April 29, 2011, at 5 p.m., the Body
will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral
Parlors and transported to Trinity Cathedral,
Broad Street, Snapper Hill, Monrovia. En route
to the Cathedral, the cortege will stop at the
Office of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) on
Clay Street to pay a brief homage.
Wake Keeping will be held at the Cathedral
from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Funeral Service will take place at
Trinity Cathedral on Saturday, April 30, 2011
at 9 a.m.
Funeral Cortege proceeds immediately thereafter
to Marshall City, Margibi County, for Interment.
