Rev. Isaac Gonwadoo Nyeayea

Our Father, Grand Father, Great Grand Father, Husband, Uncle, Brother, Son -In -Law and Pastor, Rev. Isaac Gonwadoo Nyeayea departed this life for Glory on Sunday, January 24 at 9 a.m. This sad event occurred at the Richmond University Medical Center, commonly called St. Vincent in Staten Island, New York City.

Rev. Nyeayea was born in Gbeyee Duayee, Nimba County as a blessing to Mr. Saye Zolo Nyeayea and Lepein Nyeayea on November 20, 1941.

Rev.Nyeayea was Senior Pastor of the First United Christian Church, in Staten Island, New York. Prior to moving to the United States, he was a member and Elder at United Liberian Inland Church in Liberia. Rev. Nyeayea was a life-long resident of the ELWA Community. He worked as a Laboratory Technician and Supervisor at the ELWA Hospital. He also worked at ELWA Radio as Assistant Mano Program Announcer. Rev. Nyeayea later joined the Peace Corps Mission in Monrovia as a Laboratory Technician. In the United States, Rev Nyeayea worked at the RICOH Corporation in New Jersey, where he retired in 2004.

His brothers; Samuel, Benjamin and sister Kou Seway predeceased him. His Son, Leanea Nyeayea, also predeceased him. Rev. Nyeayea is survived by his lovely bribe of 45 years, Mrs. Alice Helb Myjunkie Nyeayea, and many brothers, sisters, children, grand children, great grand children, nephews, nieces, cousins and host of other relatives and friends.
