 Col. Sydney Lookansey Nicol Sr.
This is to announce the death of Colonel Sydney Lookansey Nicol Sr. on Monday November 26, 2018 at his home in Barnersville Estate Liberia. Colonel Sydney born February 18, 1949 of the union of Annie Evelyn Nicol and Sydney Albert V. Nicol of Harper, Maryland county, Liberia. He was 69 years old.
Col. Sydney L. Nicol Sr. worked as a cadet at the National Police Force as well as a cadet at the M Ministry of Planning during his youth while he attended the University of Liberia. Col Sydney L. Nicol Sr. worked as an immigration officer at the then Bureau of Immigration as well as Border patrol at the then Bureau of Immigration, now Liberia Immigration Services. He lastly worked as the Chief of Security at the National Port Authority where he retired.
He is survived by his wife Precious Ellenda Dixon-Nicol, his children 2 sons (Oach) Sydney L. Nicol Jr. and Olatunde Harvey E. Nicol, 2 daughters Queenella Nicol and Patricia Nicol, one grand-daughter Precious , one grand-son Charles, his first and favorite niece ( Ching)Berthlyn Nicol-Caesar .his siblings Albert V. Nicol Sr. and family, Cynthia Nicol-Myer and family, Queenella Nicol-Hill and family, Comfort Nicol-Kalay and family, Berthan E. Nicol and family, Alexander Brown Davis and family, Sophia Johnson and family, cousin Sylvanus A. Nicol and family, (Chee-Chee) Sophie Rotmark and family, nephew Berthan Nicol and two nieces, Betty Ogunti close cousins, relatives and in-laws include Patricia Jones and family, Dr. Alfred Abayomi-cole and family, Walter Wray and family, Claude Langley and family, Victor Harding and family, Teddy Aitkins and family, the Erskine family, the Robertson family, Elizabeth Chea and family, and Augustine Nicol . Relatives in Sierra Leone and London, England include the Johnson-Mark family, Annie Johnson-Clement and family, Freddy Bob-Jones and family, the Nicol family, the Harding family and the Thorpe family along with a host of relatives and friends.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENT
THE BODY WILL BE REMOVED TO THE MUAREEN E. CAPEHART FUNERAL HOME ON FRIDAY DEC 14 2018 AT FIVE O'CLOCK P.M.AND TAKEN TO THE HOME OF THE DECEASED AT BARNERSVILLE ESTATE UNIT B-9F OR ONE NIGHT OF WAKE KEEPING .
ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 15, 2018 THE BODY WILL BE TAKEN TO E. J. GOODRIDGE UNITED METODIST CHURCH IN BARNERSVILLE ESTATE FOR FUNERAL RITES, WHICH WILL BEGIN AT TEN O'CLOCK A.M. INTERNMENT WILL FOLLOW THEREAFTER AT THE BERRIEN CEMETARY IN DIGGSVILLE.
