Ms.
Evelyn Fatu Nickerson
It
is with deep sadness and agony that Ms. Bonica
G. Norman and her children (Maya Nmatendi Diggs
and Nickolas Alieu Diggs), along with her aunts
and uncles, announce the home-going of our beloved
Mother, Grandmother and Sister, Ms. Evelyn Fatu
Nickerson (also known as Fatu Pierre). This
sad event occurred on Thursday, October 14,
2010 at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough,
Georgia. Fatu was born unto Mr. John Pierre
and Mrs. Bessie Harris-Pierre in Harbel, Liberia.
Her mother, father and six brothers predeceased
her.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her unconditional
love her beloved daughter, Ms. Bonica Norman;
Two Grandchildren: Maya Nmatendi Diggs and Nickolas
Alieu Diggs; Seven Sisters: Ms. Lydia E. Garnett
of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mai Van
Pelt-Grigsby of Detroit, Michigan; Ms. Comfort
Maneta Pierre of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
Mrs. Bessie Koryan Lurlay of Riverdale, Georgia,
Ms. Maude Padmore of Maryland, Ms. Mary Pierre
of Monrovia, Liberia and Ms. Alice Pierre of
Monrovia, Liberia; Three Brothers: Mr. George
Musa Pierre of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Ernest
Seydou Pierre of Riverdale, Georgia and Mr.
Tonieh Pierre of Monrovia, Liberia; Numerous
Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, In-laws, Hosts of
other Relatives, Treasured Friends and Professional
