Rev. Edward W. Neufville, II, B.A, M.TH., D.D.,
11th Diocesan Bishop of the Episcopal Church
of Liberia, 2nd Suffragan Bishop of the Episcopal
Diocese of Liberia, and Former Dean of the Anglican
Province of West Africa.
The
families of the Rt. Rev. Edward W. Neufville,
II, announce the peaceful home-going of our
beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather,
friend, and Bishop. This sad event occurred
at on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Medical
University of South Carolina in Charleston,
South Carolina.
On
May 6, 1984, Bishop Neufville was consecrated
Suffragan Bishop at the Holy Trinity Cathedral
in Monrovia, Liberia. On January 6, 1996, He
was enthroned as Diocesan Bishop of the Episcopal
Church of Liberia. He served in this capacity
until his retirement on December 16, 2007.
Bishop
Edward W. Neufville, II, is survived by his
wife of 42 years, Louise Morais Neufville, his
children, several foster children, five grandchildren,
seven siblings, several nieces and nephews,
cousins, and a host of other relatives.
Viewing
of the Body and Funeral Service: A
celebration of and thanksgiving for his life
and peaceful home-going will be held on Thursday,
January 27, 2010 at the Episcopal Cathedral
of St. Luke and St. Paul located at 126 Coming
Street, Charleston, South Carolina, 29403.
Tributes
and viewing of the body will begin promptly
at 1:00 P.M. At 3:00 P.M. Holy Eucharist and
the celebration and thanksgiving for the life
of Bishop Edward W. Neufville, II will begin.
