It is with deepest sorrow that the Gould, Nelson family, relatives and friends announce with profound regrets, the untimely home- going of our dear son, father, brother and trusted friend, Courtney Corey Nelson, which sad event occurred on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 12:00 am in Staten Island, New York. Courtney Corey Nelson was born on January 2, 1973 in Monrovia, Liberia (West Africa), unto the blessed union of Josephine Tina Gould and Henry Nelson. Courtney Nelson is survived by his mother, Josephine Gould, Sister, Faith Springer, daughter, Corine Tatiana Barclay, nephew, Donte Springer and Adonis Springer. He came to the United States on July 8th, 1979 at the age of six, from Liberia, and lived in Rhode Island, Maryland, New Jersey and New York, on Park Hill, where he resided until his untimely demise. . Courtney attended P.S 57 & I.S 49 in Staten Island for Grade School and later attended Mt. Pleasant High School in Providence, RI; where he ran Track & Field.

In his home-going, we have lost an irreplaceable fun, loving friend to all.
