Lawrence Elias Mitchell

The Mitchell, Watkins, Major, Montgomery, Greene, Gildersleeve, Kennedy, and Milton families deeply regret to announce the sudden home-going in his 61st year of Lawrence Elias Mitchell. The sad event occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, March 12, 2015 at the Holy Cross Hospital – Germantown, Maryland.    

Lawrence was born to the late Henrietta Lucretia Watkins of Montserrrado County, Liberia, and Former Associate Justice of the Supreme County, R.L., & Senator, Sinoe County the late Lawrence E. Mitchell, on February 18, 1954. 

The late Lawrence Elias Mitchell leaves to mourn his loss and cherish his memory, two sons, Elias Mitchell and Kwame Mitchell; Partner, Ms. Catherine Montgomery; siblings: Mrs. Matilda Woods (Armahrue), Mr. N. Jerome Mitchell, II (Tonia), Mr. Isaac N. Mitchell, Sr. (Theresa), Mrs. Alexjane Taylor, Mr. Coxton Kennedy (Alida); his sister-in-law, Avaline Kennedy; several nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his siblings: James Kennedy (BJ), Florence Kennedy-Walker, and Jerome Kennedy.
