It is with heavy hearts and much sadness, that the children and family of Ellen Elizabeth Mitchell, also known as Darling/Nana/Marjupleh, would like to announce the home-going of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. This sad and unfortunate event of her home going, from labor to reward, occurred on December 8, 2020, at the Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Chantilly, Virginia after a brief period of illness.
Darling, as she was affectionately known, shall be mourned by her children: Samuel A. Pierre (Diane), Fitzgerald J. Pierre (Gertrude), Eunice Florence Thomas-Rancy (Kornell), and Victoria Cooper-Mallen. Grandchildren: Samuel A. Pierre, II (Bruktawit), Whitney A. Pierre-Pitts (Sergio), Gerald A. Pierre, Amaris E. Rancy, Kornell G. Rancy, III, Samantha L. Pierre, Alexandria J. Pierre, Abigail G. Rancy, Robert J. Pierre. Great-Grandchildren: Samuel A. Pierre, III, Christian T. Pierre, and a host of sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Her faith has found a resting place and it has made her glad. Rest in peace, Marjupleh. Samuel A. Mitchell is finally dancing with his baby girl again after all these years.
