Robert S. Miller

It is with profound sadness that the Miller and Teah families announce the death of Robert S. Miller, their son, father, husband, brother, uncle, nephew, grandfather and cousin. This sad event occurred in Monrovia, Liberia on June 8, 2020.

Robert S. Miller was born unto the union of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Miller, Sr. It was a time of real joy for both parents when Robert was born. His father predeceased him.

Robert graduated from the Assembly of God High School in Monrovia, Liberia in 1976. After graduation, he pursued his career as an Immigration Officer. At the Police Academy, he did courses in advanced Immigration Studies. Robert served as an Immigration Commander at the Robert International Airport in Liberia and Nimba County. He served his country well with distinction and honor. Robert lived his life with a purpose to serve humanity. He was very smart, he loved to read and was well informed about current events.

As a God fearing man, he instilled that discipline in his children! His religious affiliation was the Eckankar Religious Movement. Eckankar is a path of love. We gain personal experience with God everyday as co-workers.

Robert is survived by his mother, Law Vonyee Miller; his wife, Ruth Mamie Miller; six children: ( Decontee Miller-Abure, Biddle Miller, Merci Miller, Vonyee Tryphena Miller, Kata Miller and Romelle Miller); siblings: Rachel Miller, Ivy Miller, Francis Miller (Evelyn), Tom Dureng (Makeme), Ellen Miller, Edwin Miller (Bernice), Emmanuel Miller ( Anna), Jemima Miller, Yei Miller-Zomonway (Allen), Tutu Bertha Miller, Wuo Miller (Wokie) and Zawolo Miller (Amie). He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia, Ghana, United States and Europe.

Robert was a devoted husband and loving father. He will be greatly missed. The vacuum he has left can not be occupied. The love for his family is a legacy that will live on forever.
