The Ellis, Perry, Merchant, Garber, Johnson, Gray and David Families regret to announce the sudden death of their beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Cousin, Musu Anita Merchant, who went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2020. She leaves behind children: Stanita Garber (George), Hawa Kpardeh (James), and Momolu Merchant; stepchildren: Samuel J. Merchant II *pre-deceased (Pearline), Gilda Merchant, Edna Iola Young (Moenti), Samuel Merchant III *pre-deceased (Rose), Eddie Merchant and Marisquetta Merchant; siblings: Francis Ellis *pre-deceased, Evangeline Ellis *pre-deceased, Kaikor Ellis (Veronica), Tobias Johnson (Lucinda), Carlton Johnson *pre-deceased, Rev. Dwight Johnson, Joshua Johnson, and Magdalene Johnson-Obaji (Kingsley); thirteen (13) grandchildren, nieces, nephews as well as a host of relatives and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her family, loved ones and friends in the United States and Liberia. Her life touched many people, and we all will mourn her loss.

Service: Saturday, June 6, 2020—10:00 a.m. at Moloney Funeral Home 840 Wheeler Road, Hauppauge, NY 11788 (Only 10 immediate family members will attend—due to Covid-19 CDC Regulations.)
