Dolly Esther Payne McCritty-Massaquoi
(Sunrise: October 31, 1936 to Sunset: August 5, 2012)
With humble acceptance to God calling home one of his most valued angels, the Payne, Witherspoon, McCritty and Massaquoi families regret to announce the death of their beloved matriarch, Mrs. Dolly E. Payne McCritty-Massaquoi. This sad and untimely event occurred on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.
Doll, Teta Doll, Dolly, T-Dolly, Mommie, S-I-S, Sis Doll, Sis Dolly, Sis D, SHD (Sweetheart Dolly), Teacher McCritty, Mrs. McCritty, Mrs. McCritty-Massaquoi, Aunty Doll, Aunt Dolly, Grand Doll, Gam-ma, Godma Dolly, Walk-a-Bout Dolly, Twin, D-Doll, Cousin Dolly, Cousin D, Mambahn, - as she was affectionately called, left a mark in every life she touched. No other will ever be able to match her giving spirit.
Mrs. Dolly E. McCritty-Massaquoi was predeceased by both her first and second husbands, Mr. Augustus Wilmot McCritty I and Cllr. Foday Jehu Massaquoi, respectively.
Her loving memory will be cherished by her children, Lars T. McCritty (Emma), A. Wilmot McCritty II (Joyce), Lynn L. McCritty; her sister, Henrietta Payne-Goodridge (Richmond); her in-laws, Ethel Payne, Mac McCritty and Momsie Greaves-McCritty; her Massaquoi daughters, Seweah, Sedia, Fati, Miama, Maude and their husbands; her grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, foster children, reared children, relatives, students and friends in Liberia and abroad.
