 ROMELL BLAMO NYEKAN KONUWA
APRIL 17, 1964 - April 14, 2020
The Nyekan, Konuwa, Smith, Major, Taylor, Stubblefield, Clarke, and Dukuly families regret to announce the death in her 56th year of Mrs. Romell Blamo Nyekan Konuwa.
This untimely and sad event occurred on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020, at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Central City, Philadelphia.
Romell is survived by her husband, Mr. Charles Konuwa, her beloved daughters, Carol-Lorie Odell Smith and Veltmelia Candy Major, her loving mother, Mrs. Elitha Taylor Nyekan, her son, Randy A. Major, her nieces and nephews Mac Orson Nyekan, Morcelia Dukuly-Asiedu (Philip), Morlitha Dukuly, Brandon Dorian Nyekan, Frederick Demactee L. Nyekan, Conrade N. “Chief” Nyekan, and little Randall. She also leaves to mourn her sister Mrs. Brenda Ayodele Major-Dukuly (Morley) and brother Conrade "Mac" Nyekan (Williamina).
Romell is preceded by her Grandmother Cecelia Clarke, father, Frederick Glakron Nyekan, and brother Roosevelt Monroe Major, Jr.
She will be missed by her mother, husband, siblings, many uncles, aunts, cousins, adopted sisters (too many to list), adopted brothers, a host of relatives and friends whom she bounded with, in Canada, Europe, Liberia, and the U.S.A.
Romell touched the lives of thousands of people during her short and impressive life on earth. She cared for and gave love to anyone who needed it. She will be missed dearly.
The interment will be held on Friday, April 24th, 2020, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, New Jersey, with selective family members.
