Mrs. Pillar Kollie
It is with profound sadness and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin Mrs. Pillar Kollie, affectionately known as “Mama, Ma Pillar, Kpeh Pillar.” This sad event occurred on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her Daughters: Famatta, Albertha, Esther (Varney), Oretha (Robert), Josephine (Barclay), Roseline (Cyrus), Yarmah (Augustine). Sons: Albert (Larwo), J Duwar (Chris), Charles (Pauline), Amin and Tarkpoh. Grandchildren: Angie (Mpeti), Seanea, Ruthfee (Tare), Duwarday, Mekei, Salimatu, Varney Jr, Comassa, Janet, Sianeh, Jay, Jorbaline, Bob Blue, Albert Jr, Duwar, Princess, Prince, Catherine, Daniel, Pillar Ruth, JD III, Christine, Marci, Mary Joy, Cornelius, Chad, Sanaa Imani, Amin, Amell. Great Grandchildren: Nkumu, Emmanuel, Bonkosi, André, Emma, Ethan, Elias, Charlesetta, Adelyn and Josiah. Maternal brother Sammy Zekpeh (Kuahn), several paternal brothers & sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends in the USA and Liberia.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, John D Kollie Sr, of Palm Coast, FL, her parents Zammay and Darpu Zekpeh, sister Kemah, brother Tongor all of Glarlay, Nimba County, Liberia.
