The Kollie family announces with profound regret the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and friend, Mr. John Duwar Kollie, Sr. This sad event occurred Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast, FL, USA. He was a 20 year employee of the LAMCO JV Operating Company in Yekepa, Nimba County, Liberia. He resided in Zouan-Hounien the Cote I'voire during the civil war and taught at Youth High Refugee School. He later moved to the USA in 2001 to be with his wife and children.

John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Pillar Kollie, daughters Famatta, Albertha, Esther (Varney), Oretha (Robert), Josephine (Barclay), Roseline (Cyrus), Yarmah sons Albert (Larwo), J Duwar (Chris), Charles, Amin, Koryan, Saye, Korvah and Tarkpoh. 26 Grandchildren Angie (Mpeti), Seanea, Ruthfee (Pare), Duwarday, Meekei, Salimatu, Varney Jr, Comassa, Janet, Sianeh, Jay, Jorbaline, Bob Blue, Albert Jr, Duwar, Princess, Prince, Catherine, Daniel, Pillar Ruth, JD III, Christine, Marci, Mary Joy, Cornelius, Sanaa Imani and 7 Great Grandchildren - N'kumu, Emmanuel, N'kozi, Emma, Koryan Jr, Praises and John IV and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends in the USA and Liberia. John was predeceased by his brother John W. Kollie and sister Kabeh. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest is peace.
