Martha Gbie Sayondee Kofa

This is to announce the home going of our beloved Mother, Aunt, sister, Martha Gbie Sayondee Kofa aka Weah Mona Kofa Gbie, and affectionately known as Aunty.  She passed on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 3:30 am at home in Philadelphia Pennsylvania after a prolonged illness.  

She leaves to mourn her brothers, Joseph D. Kofa Sr. (Agnes Tetee) and John C. Kofa Sr. (Agnes Wlehdee), her nieces and nephews in the USA  including; Theresa Tarpeh, Mary Beh, Slewion,  Sam Nagbe, Martha, James Jr., Cynthia, Cathy, Caroline, Sandra, John Jr., Dennis, Cecelia, Beatrice, Toe,  Konwloh, Sawee, Trokon, Walea, Donyen, Sayondee, Josephine, Decontee, Joseph Jr., Sophia, Michelle, Eleanor, Kate, Jestina, Olivia, Juah, Prince, Comfort, Trokon and a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia and Europe. She was predeceased by her husband Francis Manning, her brother James Kofa Sr., and her niece Dr. Victoria Juah Nimely Brown. Aunty was a mother to all her nieces and nephews. She was the pillar that united the Kofa family and her demise creates a huge void that is irreplaceable. We love her and will miss her.  May her soul rest in peace.

Wake and Funeral will be at the First United Methodist Church of Germantown on 6601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia Pa. 19144.

Repast follows immediately after interment.
