Jacob Nathaniel King, Sr.

The King, Harmon, Nelson, Walker, Draper, Dukuly and Taylor families announce with sincere regrets the home going of their husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and cousin Jacob Nathaniel King, Sr. which sad event occurred September 24, 2013 in Elizabeth, New Jersey in his 95th year after a protracted period of illness.

 He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Johnette Theris Walker-King; children: Emerson King, Victoria King-Rich (Jerry), Christine King-Taylor (Elijah), Jacob N. King, Jr., Ella W. King, Alfred D. King (Quady), Angeline King, Mary Zean King and Johnette M. King. His sisters: Frances L. King and Zean Nelson. Nephews: Wilmot L. Harmon, Daniel S. Draper, Jr., Sidney W. King, Jr., Pinkney W. King, Jr., E. Richmond Draper, Alfred Derrick King, Arthur Nickerson, Z. Douglas Nelson, Thomas Nelson, Julius Nelson, McDonal Reed, Clarence Korvah, Bill Yarwon,  Ronald L. Whisnant, Sr., Stedman Joseph and Sonie Grant. Nieces: Delsena King-Russ, Audrey King-Rubie, Jenny Brisbane, Marie White, Lela Nelson-Kamara,  Eleanor Nelson, Zean Nelson, Edith Whisnant-Ricks, Rayetta Whisnant, Naomi Joseph, Geneve Thomas-Zayzay, Tennemah Kpana and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings: Sidney W. King, Sr., Pinkney W. King, Sr., Victoria King-Harmon, Delsena King-Draper and Jeanette King.

Wake keeping will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. (Please note that the family will respectfully request that all tributes be paid at the wake.)
