The Honorable Reverend Rushu Karnga
Sunrise March 9, 1926 to Sunset December 24, 2016

The Karnga, Hodge and Gooding families announce with deepest regret, the homegoing of Rushu Karnga, our beloved and exceptional husband, father, grandfather,  brother, uncle and cousin in his 90th year.  This event took place at the residence of his daughter, Soni Karnga Williams, in Stockbridge, GA, USA.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Frances Gooding Karnga; daughters – Siata Karnga, Famatta Karnga DeShield (Russell), Makeda Karnga Badio (McEllery), Soni Karnga Williams (T. Nelson II) and Rebecca Deah.  He is also survived by his sisters – Isabel Karnga and Makeda Karnga Gurley, his grandchildren - Thomas, Keesha, Hadiya, Kaleb, Mackia, Talia, Eric and Tarnynon, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends in the United States and Liberia.

He was predeceased by his parents, Liberian historian and Associate Justice Abayomi Wilfred Karnga and Isabella Hodge Karnga. His sister, Olivia Karnga Ockner and grandsons, McEllery Badio Jr. and T. Nelson Williams, III also predeceased him.
