Madam LATIFA CYNTHIA COOPER KAMARA
December 21, 1945 – August 6, 2016

The Cooper and Gibson Families announce, with heavy hearts and yet with gratitude to Almighty God, the end of physical life and the beginning of new life for our darling Mrs. Latifa Cynthia Cooper Kamara.  This transition occurred on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, Rockville, Maryland, USA.  She is survived by her sisters Mrs. Eupheme Cooper Weeks and Mrs. Trypetus Cooper Padmore; her brothers Messrs. Gerald F.B. Cooper (Roberta), Randolph C.J. Cooper (Eudeen), and Seward M. Cooper (Anne); several nieces, including Geral Cooper Ehoue (Jean-Luc), nephews, cousins, and many close friends in Canada, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Mauritania, the USA, and Europe as well as at the World Bank, where she worked for many years.  She was preceded in death by her: husband His Excellency Mr. Samba Kamara of Mauritania; parents Dr. jur. Daubeny Bartholomew Cooper and Mrs. Daphne Trypetus Gibson Cooper; brothers Counselor E.J. Llewellyn Cooper, Sr., and Mr. Daubeny B. Cooper, Jr.; sister-in-law Mrs. Isabel Cooper; and brother-in-law Dr. Rocheforte L. Weeks.

USA: Thanksgiving Services will be on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Grace Covenant Church, 4600 Brookfield Corporate Dr., Chantilly, VA 20151, USA.

          Music and Tributes 10 a.m. – 10:55 a.m.
         Service 11:00 a.m.

Interment:  Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 831 Dranesville Road, Herndon, VA 20170
