With praise and thanksgiving to God, the Jones, Gooding, Bright, King and Pratt families announce the peaceful home going of their father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin, Magnus A. Jones, Jr. in his eighty-third year. This sad event occurred on the evening of August 3, 2016 at the Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia, USA.  Magnus is survived by his children: Ade Captan (Monie Captan), Derrick Jones, and Magnia Ayodele George (William George); his step children: Joyce T. Lewis, Hans J. Lewis, and Jackie K. Lewis-Garway; his aunt Salina Furey; his brothers William O. Davies Jones, Kerston W. (Bo) Jones, and J. Armah Karmo; his sisters Magdalene Jones, Agnes Pierre, Vashti Jones, Joyce Stanley, Violet Jones-Bruce, Enid Jones-Hare, Elaine Jones, and Lucretia Moore; and his grand children living in the USA and Liberia.  Also surviving him are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Europe and the USA .

We thank God for Magnus' life and for all of the joy, kindness, wisdom, and laughter that he brought to us all

Wake-keeping and Viewing Services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the following location:
