Mrs.
Alliette Jones
The
Jones, Benson, Diggs, Fahnbulleh and Shannon
families announce in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the death
of Mrs. Alliette Jones on March 2, 2010 in Monrovia,
Liberia. She was 77 years old. Her husband,
Cllr. M. Fahnbulleh Jones, and daughter,Ovetta
Jones Williams, predeceased her. Mrs. Jones
worked for many years with the International
Trust Company in Liberia and lived in the United
States from 1990 to 2007, when she returned
home to Liberia.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her children: Erwin,Varney
and Joyce, Mohamedu and Sando, Joseph (Joe Joe),
Manfred, Cyril and Joyce,Charles; Enidmai and
Emmanuel, and Edet and Rose; and her grandchildren:Erwin
Jr.; Zoelumah and Zuannah; Azizi; Jowanda and
Tiffany; Himie; Rommel, Yarvo and Cyrene;Nadene,
Hilary and Crystal;Nyah;Rodet and Edet, Jr.Hersurviving
siblings are: Julia Wesley, Mai Deshield, Edward
Benson, Enid Benson and Nellie Sidifall. She
is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
A
Requiem Mass will be held for the peaceful
repose of her soul at St. Thomas Episcopal Church,
Monrovia, Liberia on Saturday, April 10, 2010
at 10:00 am, following which she will be interred
in the parish cemetery of St. John's Irving
Memorial Episcopal Church in Robertsport, Cape
Mount. It is also the plan of the family to
exhume and re-inter the remains of her husband,
M. Fahnbulleh Jones, in the same crypt with
Alliette, uniting them once again as "Momo
and Alliette." It is with Blessed Assurance
that we know she rests in peace. Amen.
A
memorial service for Mrs. Alliette Jones
following her burial in Liberia will be held
at St. Luke's Anglican Parish in Bladensburg,
Maryland, and will be announced later.
