Dr.
Edwin M. Jallah
The
family of DR. EDWIN M. JALLAH regrets to announce
his untimely death which occurred on Sunday,
November 29, 2009 in Sugar Land, Texas. Bub
Edwin, as he was more commonly known was born
in his beloved city of Marshall, Liberia, West
Africa.
A
graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine
in the Bronx, New York, Dr. Jallah served as
Medical Director of Firestone Medical Center
in Harbel, Liberia. He was the first Liberian
physician to serve in that capacity. Prior to
his studies at Albert Einstein College, he received
his Bachelor's Degree from the University of
Pennsylvania. He retired and settled in Sugar
Land, Texas and continued to work relentlessly
with the River Blindness Foundation and the
Lions Club. Dr. Jallah was a distinguished Paul
Harris Fellow as well as a Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons.
A
memorial service is scheduled to be held
on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM,
at Trinity Episcopal Church, 7005 Piney Branch
Road, NW, Washington, D.C. 20012.
