It is with profound sadness that the Jackson, Brent, and Kpabar families announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother Maggie Brent Jackson. Maggie transitioned peacefully on Friday, May 15th, 2020 in Baltimore, MD.

She is survived by Julia C. Brent (mother), her children Amanda Sonie Kolako, Johnetta ‘Bunch’ Jackson, Dalasue Brumskine, Jallah Jackson, Alexander Jackson, Ernestine Sackie, Sando Pedersen, Armah Pedersen, and Sata Caphart. Sisters: Rose Giddens, Christina Kpabar Paelay, Winifred Zogbo Bolton, Mary Sevele, Genevieve Brent, Comfort Moore, Nutu Brent, and Theodosia Brent Scott. Brothers: Lewellyn Brent, Kortu Sammy, Rev. J. Julius Brent, Nehemiah Brent, Francis Brent, and Alex G.Brent.

She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Maggie Brent Jackson was preceded in death by her children, Sophia Eastman and Jerusha Jackson, her fathers, James A. Brent and Wilfred Kpabar, her mother Ethel Caesar Kpabar, and Sister Ciania Genevieve Brownell.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020.

Due to the current pandemic, the service will be private.
