Mrs. Leona Oretha Jackson

The Jackson, Wilson and Mars families of Paynesville, Liberia sadly announce the death in her seventy fourth year of Mrs. Leona Oretha Jackson. The departure from this life occurred on December 1, 2014 at her home in Paynesville.

A beautiful and self-assured character, her professional career spanned entrepreneurship in Liberia,  Bureau of Customs, Finance and Education ministries where she served as secretary to the Commissioner of Customs and Assistant Minister of Finance.

She leaves to mourn her loss two children; Jewel Morgan and Larry Azzi, one grand-daughter; Leona, two sisters; Sarah Mathis and Irene Mathis-Wodo, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral services will be held on December 13, 2014 at the Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Parlor at 10:00 am in Monrovia, Liberia. Following the service, the body will be interred at the family plot of the Paynesville Cemetery.
